 r\, Bauhaus University Weimar\n\nDescription of the track\nIn his latest w
 ork &#8222\;The zero marginal cost society&#8220\; Jeremy Rifkin (2014) ci
 tes the information goods industry and the sharing economy as forerunners 
 of a new economy. Sharing economy is understood as peer-to-peer-based acti
 vities of obtaining\, giving\, or sharing the access to goods and services
 \, coordinated through community-based online services (Hamari\, Sjöklint 
 and Ukkonen 2015). Internet platforms such as YouTube and Flickr removed p
 ublishing and publicity costs nearly completely for content creators (Kapl
 an and Haenlein 2010)\; businesses such as Airbnb and Uber do the same for 
 their industries. All these platforms base their business models on other 
 people&#8217\;s resources.\nThe role of the entrepreneur shifts more and m
 ore to coordinate production rather than to produce goods or services by t
 hemselves. In peer-to-peer markets &#8211\; no matter if they show analogu
 e or digital characteristics &#8211\; the distinction between production a
 nd consumption is mashed up. This goes along with modified consumer expect
 ations. Consumer value is attached to usage rather than to ownership &#821
 1\; following the service-dominant logic of marketing by Vargo and Lusch (
 2004). Therefore the innovation focus also shifts from the product to appl
 ication and service\, which may create new entrepreneurial opportunities. 
 However\, motivational factors that affect consumers&#8217\; attitudes and 
 intentions towards sharing economy and peer-to-peer consumption are widely 
 unexplored. Market actors need to understand customer expectations as well 
 as the characteristics and competitive advantages of successful sharing ec
 onomy ventures in order to shape innovative applications\, services\, and 
 platforms.\n\nThe concept of sharing has increasing influence on tradition
 al industries. In fact\, asset sharing is going to become part of daily bu
 siness practice. For instance\, Floow2 is a Dutch marketplace for equipmen
 t like trucks and earthdiggers\, which allows firms to list items they're 
 not using\, and have other businesses rent them out. By this\, firms can u
 se their valuable assets effectively that goes far beyond the simple gener
 ation of some extra cash. Sharing practices show an impact on entire indus
 trial sectors given the fact that market leaders such as Caterpillar and K
 omatsu are both developing new marketplaces in which customers can rent ou
 t unused items. Other industries follow\, e.g. airlines and healthcare pro
 viders\, that have started sharing expensive equipment. A fundamental ques
 tion with practical and scientific relevance is how start-ups\, small firm
 s\, and large companies will be able to exploit the resulting entrepreneur
 ial opportunities and connect with the sharing economy in order to create 
 maximum competitive advantage and maximum customer benefits.\n\nKey specif
 ic topics of the track\n\n    Interactions and interdependencies between p
 eer-to-peer production\, sharing economy and entrepreneurial\n    behaviou
 r\n    Individuals\, groups\, companies and networks which are agents of i
 nnovation in the sharing economy\n    Different types of business models w
 ith variable facets of sharing and peer-to-peer value creation\n    Change
 s in consumer expectations &#8211\; use and share instead of buy and own &
 #8211\; as driving forces of innovation\n    Influence of shared consumpti
 on and peer-to-peer production on traditional businesses\n    New ways of 
 financing innovation and entrepreneurship\n\nWe encourage contributions th
 at adress one or more of the listed topics\, using qualitative analyses an
 d case studies\, empirical analyses (such as comparisons of sub sectors\, 
 industries and countries) and developing theoretical frameworks (e.g. busi
 ness models of the sharing economy).\n\nFor this workshop format\, we part
 iculary welcome the submission of author(s) and working groups that are wi
